Crown Guard Removal

The winding "crown guards" or "protectors" at the side of watch case are designed provide protection to the winding crown. Introduced on sports watches in the early 1960s as watches especially dive watches became subjected to more strenuos activities.

A homage to the earlier sports watches, particularly the valjoux manual wind Rolex Daytonas of the 1960s and "shoulderless" or so called "James Bond" Rolex Submariners of the 1950, this bespoke option removes the existing stainless steel guards from the case, to provide a cleaner look to the watch.

The watch case will be finished by hand to a factory standard, and any previous evidence of the original crown will be completely removed. A very cool / retro look popular with the vintage watch collectorsand PROJECT X DESIGNS exclusive.

The Process is NOT reversible.
