Our BLACK Carbon coating of the "Watch Case, Bezel & Bracelet" is acheived by applying a derivative of a process commonly known as "Diamond Like Carbon" or "DLC" to the stainless steel or titanium elements of the watch.

The look can be further enhanced or by pre-polishing the watch before application with an alternate mirror or satin finish.

Originally developed by the Russian military for use on Helicoptor blades it is now being used in a growing number of industries, such as engineering (F1, NASA)  and bio-engineering, due to its lo-friction protective qualities. As the name (Diamond like) suggests, the coating is far more resistant to abrasion than normal steel (and PVD coatings).

Project X Designs have developed their own formula to create an optimum military grade finish, enhancing both the look and durability of the original watch.

The process IS reversible (and is a service that we can offer)

The price includes coating of the entire watches case, bezel, bracelet, caseback and all stainless steel outer parts . (except Hands)
